With a higher price then they were paying... those that could not qualify for assistance in Obamacare paid dearly to cover themselves and their family... because they were paying to cover the people who received assistance... so it is what it is... This isn't a normal budget process. There is no opportunity to offer a democratic budget and debate because Republicans are getting this through Congress in something called, Reconciliation....which allows no opportunity for changes and debate....

And when you talk about prices "grew higher" you must be underestimating by how much... as a self employed person who paid $175 per month for a PPO and low co pays with a $500 deductible to over $750 per month for the same coverage under Obamacare.... That's socialism not healthcare.... and guess what.... you are running out of other people's money...

"Just Say No" is not a replacement for well thought out policies and arguments. Instead, they are falling over themselves trying not to offend their traditional constituencies rather than putting forth proposals which reflect common interests. If they can't even articulate a concrete alternative to GOP policies, how long can they continue as a genuine political party?

It' not the Democrats job to propose a bill. The Republicans probably wouldn't allow it to be discussed on the floor, they wouldn't allow a vote on it, and, with their majority, they wouldn't allow it to pass. This is the repubs responsibility.
