Why doesn't meat help meat eaters be healthy?

Yes, of course, ethics is the most important thing. But the censure of stinking meat-eaters is beneficial, they become ashamed.

Animals raised organically solves the problem of factory farming.
Not really all that means is they are fed a little differently and it does nothing to prevent the inherent cruelty of factory farming.

Yeah sure it is.

There is no such thing as humane slaughter

If the animal doesn't see it coming and doesn't feel pain it's pretty humane.

They know it's coming. You can clearly see the fear and terror in their eyes, if you've ever looked at video or photos of animals heading towards slaughter.

There is nothing "humane" about taking the life of an innocent being who desperately wants to live, when you don't have to. That's the bottom line, it is completely unnecessary. So things like tradition, habit, or personal sensory pleasure are not valid justifications for causing so much suffering, abuse and brutal violence to the innocent and defenseless.

I'm talking about the killing of an animal that has basically been treated like a pet. They die without fear or pain.

I'm sorry, but that is a total fantasy. No animals in factory farms (or even smaller farms) are treated like pets. The exact opposite is true!

Whenever an animal is considered a commodity, they become like objects to the people who only care about running a business and making money. In ALL the animal industries, there is abuse and horrific diabolical practices. Why? Because again, the animals are considered just objects to be exploited, not living sentient beings like a dog or cat.

Or if ^ that one is too long, then watch this, it's a lot shorter:

Can't watch because I can't sign in as a google subscriber.

What you are saying however is that farm animals that are killed for food and other products shouldn't exist, or only exist as a cynical display in zoos.

Farm animals aren't pets as are dogs and cats. They only exist to provide food and other products for human use. Our pets also appreciate animal flesh as it is their natural food.

Tell that to the thousands of 4H kids that raise farm animals...almost like pets.

No, I'm not saying that they shouldn't exist at all. They have just as much right to exist as you or I do! I'm saying they shouldn't be considered food items, or objects to exploit, as if they are not sentient precious beings just like a dog or cat... Because the reality is, they ARE, they are no different than a dog or cat, in all the ways that matter.

And no, now that I've educated myself on this topic, I'm also against zoos, or places where animals are used for 'entertainment.' For example, Lolita, a beautiful orca who was violently taken from her family at age 4 and was forced to entertain people for 53 years at the Miami Seaquariam, basically a slave, deprived of all the God-given things she should have had (her natural habitat, freedom, her family) before she died in a filthy swimming pool a week ago.

You don't hear people who grew up on farms bellyaching about the simple realities of life the way some of these supermarket saints do.

I'm glad you brought up 4H, because many of those kids are traumatized after they inevitably bond with their animals and love their animals, then are forced to betray them when they sell them for slaughter. Their initial reaction is the correct one... not the one twisted society conditions them to have.

And some kids cry when they learn Santa Clause isn’t real.

Kids grow up.

"Growing up" becoming a callous, apathetic asshole.

In fact, the very opposite is true. Growing up means becoming a wise and decent human being. Only indoctrinated, stunted, damaged people end up as heartless assholes.

If we don't eat them, why would we raise them. Their purpose for existence is to feed us.

What does that say about those who don't these animals to even exist? These kids know from the getgo the fate of their animals. The joy of raising them trumps the grief of their demise.
