The shell of the new building will be a fine space to repurpose after Trump is out of office. Chope up the inside and make the cavernous ceiling into a two story interior and you get about 150,000 square foot of space (discounted doubling it for infrastructure, elevators, fire stairs, etc.).

The most logical reasoning is that when presidents hold international balls, events, inners they are held on the lawn and porta potties are part and parcel.

It was very nice

They don’t use porta potties like you will see at the county fair but lavatories in trailers

Trump is adding to the structural integrity of the home by adding an updated/proper ballroom that can house the correct number of guests for formal events, meetings, and other get togethers.

AND....unlike the Democrats................ Trump is NOT stealing OUR tax dollars for this, he went out and got his friends, relatives, and others with money, to donate to the cause.
