The statute was in the indictment and the Judges instructions were very clear that the jury must return a unanimous verdict on the felony falsification of business records. They were not required to all agress on the underelying motivational crime, because that crime went to motive.

If the underlying motivational crime was not named, how could the jury know or even agree that it went to motive? No evidence was ever presented for or against that component of the "crime".

I repeat: the jury just let their Trump-hating consciences (or lack thereof in this case) be their guide. That's why it was a bullshit false conviction.

Let's us a hypotetical example. A husband is married to his wife. The husbands business is struggling. He has a life insurance policy worth millions. In addition the husband finds out that his wife is having an affair with the pool girl.

Conclusive evidence is presented at trial that the husband killed his wife. The prosecution presents evidence toward motivation. Both money and the affair. The jurors are required agree on the murder, they are not required to agree on motive. Some could believe it was for money. Some could believe it was for the affair. Some could believe it was both. They can still return a verdict on the action of murder.

There seems to be a lot of self-denial about his convictions. Why can't his supporters admit the truth--that he was convicted on all 34 charges by a DC court.
Will this fact also follow the election result deniers path of massive resistance at first and now a comparatively few still hold out that Trump won the 2020 election?

I pointed out to him that Trump is an adjudicated felon.

He replied And look at the lawsuit in NY…a deal between Trump and a bank to borrow money, agreed on the terms, the loan paid back. But oh no…the Dems move Alvin Bragg in out of his seat to go after him. They find a judge who’ll go along with everything and finds him guilty.

I replied that he falsified his net worth. Someone else who didn't falsify their net worth didn't get the loan that year. And the bank gave a lower interest rate based on that fictitious number he gave. The jury heard the facts and found him guilty. Stop blaming Dems. Trump's lawyer got to pick half the jury. If you don't trust jury trials I guess I don't know what else to say.

He's also still trying to say that call to Ukraine was perfect. No Quid Pro Quo.

And because Trump slipped the word peaceful into his speech leading up to the insurrection, that should have covered his ass. I don't think so.

He also defaulted on a $640 million loan from Deutsche.
