You're privileged if you're black. You automatically are in a protected class. You are automatically entitled because of past racist policies, regardless if they affected you or not.
That's not true for most black people
Rich blacks that's true for
Most blacks have a net worth of 1/10th the average white family. Don't confuse elites with per capita. What you just said was absurd
High skill blacks are a protected class because they're under reprsented. Anyone under represented in a given context is protected. Like good white basketball players. Because there is a shortage of them relative to the rest of society. Or Linsanity with the chinese ethnic guy who played for the knicks.
Good luck leveraging your "protected class" as a black plumber or walmart worker
I don't buy that 1/10 crap. There's minimum wage laws.
1/10 the net worth, not income.
Net worth is how much your households assets are worth
Black family has about 10k in assets mostly because of the way our real estate has historically been segregated. The average white family has 100k in net worth (their house and maybe some vehicles)
Income is much much closer even at a holistic look, and basically even given equal work. Point is if you're poor and black you're not protected because you're not rare.
If in context your "identity" is under represented. You're inherently raising the value of people with that indentiy in that context. Like white guys who are really good at basketball
