I never said that at-will employment is a temporary benefit. But unemployment compensation is a temporary benefit that is available to those who lose their job through no fault of their own.

Yes, it does. The at-will employment laws must also apply to unemployment compensation. Otherwise it is a simple and repugnant Abridgment.

The at-will employment laws say that an employer hires at will. So the fact that they do not HAVE to hire someone who has used up their unemployment benefits means that there is no violation of the at-will employment laws. If the UC law required that an employer hire someone after their benefits expired, THAT would be a violation of the at-will employment laws.

Go and familiarise yourself with a certain Mr Martin Luther King - he was saying even back at the height of Civil Rights Movement that blacks and minorities need to take responsibility and drop the hood/ghetto culture they all embrace and use the tools given to them to integrate properly to help create true equality.

EDD has to prove for-cause employment existed to impose for-cause criteria otherwise it is an abridgment of at-will employment law.
