Hmm. I can't recall opposing any of my brother-in-law's family who immigrated here to escape Mussolini's Italy. Or any of my relatives or their families who immigrated from Spain or Mexico. One of our very best friends is a Hanamoto who was born in Hawaii but only barely as his mother was pregnant with him when she and his father immigrated there from Japan. I did not oppose the Cuban immigrants I helped assimilate in Texas or the Vietnamese immigrants I helped assimilate in Kansas.

Even if they are only partly successful, it will be enough to ensure their dominance for at least the next generation, if not permanently.

Why will nobody in Washington articulate this obvious fact? Democrats or Republicans. Are the Republicans afraid that if they say it out loud, they will be excoriated for adopting the infamous "replacement theory"?

It is a puzzle.
