Been doing great since retirement, in 2016. I saw more growth in our retirement accounts over the 4 years where Biden was in office, if that is what you mean. Just the two of us, kids grown and in their own homes. Had Florida beach and Colorado skiing vacations, along with summers by the pool. No commute. No more Covid. I had a good time. Planning and execution pay off and retirement proves it. Thanks.

Are you saying that after 30 years of Republican rule in that Red State, with Republican Governor and home to sitting President, that city voting Dem for first time in 30 years, it is not a Miami City Cuban Community support thing, but a bell weather to all future 2026 elections in historically Republican ruled cities and states, regardless of Hispanic community support?

After the Bush crash, stability and security, became chief investment strategy due to our age. The ability to devote more to recouping, and recharging, much of our Bush Crash losses, as we were debt free, even at that time, was pivatol durning the last 6 years of Obama. The goal of getting out, at age 60 never changed, as I simply did not want to move across country to do it, nor going back into debt to make it happen. We like it here. So, yes, we are not in many high growth investments, more subject to bigger gains, but also quicker losses. Looks, like business school guidance, gained as a national honor grad, rather than chasing markets, was the right choice for us, in our situation. So, going back into the market that had just lost 40% of our retirement 6 years before retirement, simply made no sense, and put us less susceptible to fluctuation created by politicians, to satisfy their goal, ambitions and person whims. While not a strategy in one's 30, 40, or maybe even early 50's, but perfect for prep to leave job market on your own terms, securing your profits for your future. Pretty much what I studied and learned at McAfee School of Business.
