The state of NY spends 6 billion dollars a year on law enforcement. 6 billion dollars. States all across this nation allocate more funds to law enforcement than any other service in these states.

Now imagine just for a moment, taking a huge chunk of that money and putting it in after school programs, job training, helping local business's in these communities, mentoring young kids...imagine the drop in youth violence and deaths. Thats where the problem is people....we build up our cops, arm them to the max, hire the worse of the worse, spend millions and keep spending millions trying to contain an environment that we keep expanding from lack of resource involvement.

When I was a kid, there were after school programs, summer jobs programs, mentoring opportunities....if we continue to neglect what is obvious in our face, than keep expecting the same results over and over and over....

Cops are the worst of the worst?

not by a long shot

politicians are the worst creatures in America

followed closely by single moms and unwed fathers who create these little monsters roaming our streets

Any cops that are complete douche bags, are in an extreme minority. The vast majority, just enforce the laws that your politicians have put on the books. The lack of a police force would simply allow people like yourself to victimize the otherwise law-abiding population. I know how you feel about law enforcement....how dare they interfere with you robbing a gas station or other shop. How dare they interfere with you committing home invasions. How dare they interfere with you beating your partner. How dare they interfere with you shop-lifting.
Point to a nation without a police force.

^^ idiot OP seems to be forgetting we’ve already spent billions on inner city programs. They don’t work, that’s obvious now.

What they need is more cops, and stricter longer sentencing for violent crime. Eliminate violent crime in black communities, and you’ll see all those other problems solve themselves.

Do you want to see crime increase 10 times the current rate? Go ahead and defund.

Local, state and federal governments have expanded on those programs massively. When I was a kid there was only bag lunches. Now there is breakfast and lunch for children and they may be going to dinner. All of this was supposed to be fixed by the War on Poverty. Why is it worse now?

Perhaps the investment in first firing our educators and rehiring those not of Marxist ideology should be the first move. Then printing and emphasizing real history of America and the basics of education would be a good start.
I agree with after school programs, summer jobs and mentoring. However, most Progressive politicians claims these do not work and refuse to fund them. It seems that it's the Prgressive Marxist Socialist/DSA Democrats have been in control of the Blue Plantations and have neglected the very programs you speak of.
Since you're so involved in Progressivism, perhaps you can speak to your peers on those matters.

Gee, when I was growing up in Bklyn, my family thought it was an embarrassment to take handouts for schools lunches. You're right. My breakfact consisted of a slice of bread, no butter and a cup of coffee. Lunch consisted of a leftover on a slice of bread. I didn't know what buuter or mayonnaise until my teen years. We ate a lot of spaghetti, beans, and potatoes.
Fact is I was just thinking about fried potato and egg and fried eggplant sandwich.

I don't know where you live, but where I live, those programs cease to exist years ago. And its not about food, I'm talking about, its about things for young people to do after school and during the summer months, like jobs and educational and sports programs...all missing from today's ubran landscape. Kids who got money don't need a jobs program or after school activities to keep them focused and out of trouble,,,uban kids do.

I remember in high school getting lettuce sandwiches just before payday. It was actually funny.

O vey, End of NY.

It works and we all know it.....but if you fix something that you know will work, that means blacks will somehow get ahead of the curve, decrease the violence in their communities, allow self esteem to emerge and eventually success to take over and well, how can white liberals control us ever again?

The problem is you are forgetting the primary reason we need job training and helping local business.

Crime.

You know why businesses move out of poor neighborhoods? Because of crime. The reason we need after-school programs, is because of crime. Kids are spending their time vandalizing and shoplifting, and practicing for a career in crime.

You say you want mentoring opportunities.... well you can't mentor someone who has no moral values. More importantly, you don't want to.

In 2013 and 2014, we had some massive protests in Chicago and Baltimore, and the result was the police left the area. What was the result? More businesses left, crime increased, and kids were wild.

Now I would encourage you to try what you claim. I want you to see what the results of this bad policy are.
