Why are we still changing our clocks twice a year?

you have a few options...

1. Do not change your clock
2. Move to Arizona or Hawaii.

Option one isn't the best choice.
If I didn't set my clock ahead, I would have been an hour late.

Does this make sense to anyone? Why hasn't congress ended it? Who is benefitting and how?
Because changing the clocks just ONCE per year would really be dumb.

It's so that our kids, when they're walking to school, barefoot, in the snow, uphill both ways, don't have to do it in the dark.

Daylights savings time was a stupid idea. Who was the idiot that wanted it?

It seems that more than 50% of Americans support the 100 + year old concept. Isn't there enough to worry about these days besides spring forward?

I’m usually working when the clocks change over

It’s nice to leave an hour early, but they make you use an hour of PTO to cover it

the point is that we should not be continuing something that is not helping anyone in any way. Messing with human circadian rhythms is always going to cause problems.

DST is a safety issue for kids going to school.
It also provides more daylight to play sports like golf, after work during the summer.
PA tried to stay on standard time, but quickly reversed it back to DST
kids are going to school in the dark today under Daylight time all over the country. that argument has no legs.

In Montgomery County, MD, the longest day of the year (summer solstice) around June 20th has approximately 15 hours of daylight, while the shortest day (winter solstice) around December 21st has about 9 hours of daylight.
and that is true no matter what we do with our clocks. Adjust your schedules to the sun rather than trying to play clock games.

I think it's dumb, too, but luckily my cell phone automatically reminds me of the new time/hours, so it doesn't bother me too much. But yes, we should abolish it. It doesn't serve any purpose anymore. We are not in WW2 anymore.
