The OP hasn't yet come to grips with the fact that most Democrats today are actually Socialists.
They deny it, for now, because the American spirit, based on Jeffersonian Ideals like the profit incentive and individual effort, has built the greatest Society in the history of the world, and it is still the way of life for most Americans, for now.
But, the Federal Plantation is growing with each new pack of illegal immigrants Obama brings in, and with each appropriation of money to pay Public Employee Unions Members and our army of Professional Wards of the Government who have learned to enjoy a stress free life siting on the front porch.
When the Federal Plantation gets a true majority, then the True Socialists will come out.....and the Grand Ole Utopian Experiment of letting the Productive Members of Society carry the Ass-Sitters will bring out their true nature.
Everything they say right now, is just nibbling around the edges of: "From Each According to his Ability to Each According to his Needs" but that's what they are after....some of the real fools don't even realize they are Marxists.
