Why are Trump's tax returns so important again?

They know there is probably nothing in trumps taxes that hasnt already been seen by the IRS.

This is likely just a campaign of public influence. They want his tax returns to find anything they can twist and take out of context, then spin it and release it to the MSM who will then repeatedly report it for the next several months.

The goal, to try and convince people of a crime, or at least get them asking questions.

They want to try and get as much public influence out there in hopes of getting as many people to shy away from trump as possible.

As they did with the Russia scam.

Congress has every legal right to Trump's tax returns.

Congress needed the documents to provide oversight of tax evasion and revenue collection.

How A Spat Between Two Rich People Gave Congress The Power To Get Trump’s Tax Returns

Who has been charged with tax evasion? You? Do you need to show your taxes? I think you are scamming the US government bigtime, let's see you taxes!

Well, because my seeing his taxes won't do a damn thing to improve my life, nor would it have any affect on how he runs the country.

Ok, but that didn't answer my question. My question was "Why wouldn't you want to be able to see as much of your leader's finances as possible?"

Don't ask yourself if you want to see candidate Trump's tax returns Ask yourself: when AOC (or whatever politician you hate the most) runs for president, do you want to see her tax returns?

If the answer to both is no, then, OK, I guess we just value transparently differently. If the answer is yes, you are more interested in your side winning then establishing good rules for governance.

Call your Congressman and ask they mark a bill up to address this issue. I prefer that it also include all members of Congress.

Why should we care? I know I don’t base any decision to vote on someone’s tax returns, if they are out there. I base it on their policies, and how they will affect my family and the country, as a whole.

Ok, no...I'll just have to trust the IRS is doing their job(s). Just as the State Tax Board caught AOC back in 2017.

They seen the failure of their witch hunt explode with Mueller

The democrats are collusional.

You are clearly hiding something as well, we need to see your taxes.
That doesnt make any sense. I didn't make a calculation that not releasing them would do less political damage to me than would releasing them. That idiotic talking point isn't getting any smarter with repetition .

I'm not the one applying Preparation H to his asshole 3x a day over not seeing Trumps taxes.
Huh? I will be fine either way. Can you trump cultist crybabies try to stay on topic for 2 posts in a row? Thanks.

Something like this should not be done to a President without clear smoke. Hoping to find something usable isn't smoke.

So all this means is that the cycle will continue. Investigations and rumors and "scandals" on every President, every candidate.

We wouldn't allow our children to behave like this. We should be ashamed. But of course, we're not.
.

Look at it this way, when a Democratic President is sworn in, we can have the Republicans play the same stupid game and we know they will.

The timing seems a bit odd, right after a probable swing and a miss on Russia
No. The timing is that, at the end of January, the democrats took over the committees in the house. These proceedings started then.

The timing seems a bit odd, right after a probable swing and a miss on Russia. And we're supposed to believe this is about protocol or "what's right."

Okay, sure. We can play pretend. That's politics, right?
.

Maybe it was a moral decision, more likely a morale one though.

This is actually a serious question. There have been so many accusations and "scandals" and rumors and investigations and breaking news stories and blockbusters and leaks and final straws and assumptions over the last several years that it can be difficult to keep track.

Obviously there must be some smoke here, and the goal is to discover the fire so that he can be brought down.

So what's the smoke?

Again, serious question.
.

The Democrats want to get out the envy vote.

Yep. Looks like this is all we're good for at this point.
