Why are so many older Americans still fighting the cold war?
And why do some younger Americans pick up the torch?
Insanity? Loneliness and feelings of helplessness?
I remember asking my dad when I was a teenager why shit didn't change and he said that we had to wait until the Cold War Warriors died off. Some twenty years later I advised him that they may be dying off but they did a bit of inbreeding as well.
This is an empire, Dante. It must have control of all resources. It cannot be put at risk for any rising power. Besides, the contractors want money.
The history of humanity is about controlling resources. Doesn't make the USA any less evil or more evil than others. Of course contractors want resources to fatten their bottom line. They are in business.
Cold warriors. This is why the right wingers got behind the Reagan Legacy Project. They despised Reagan after he left office (1988). He sold out to the Soviets in their view.
