No so, leaving the state and aligning with another state is not necessarily the same as secession.
Such a move would require approval from both state legislatures and Congress. The process involves complex legal and legislative steps, including interstate compacts and federal approval.

The main reasoning of the States is that Trump wants to do away with the Dept. of Education and allow the individual States to manage education.
In doing so States can and would likely lose Federal funding as it is done today...

My state has completely mismanaged public ed, statistically having one of the highest per pupil / low results in the nation , all due to prog policies.

while some 12% is fed $$$, that is for the schools budget, not the school itself
we are told we need 6Bil in school structure upgrades , which in an annual state budget of 9Bil will be hard to do solo

Don't know the state you live in, but if the state you live in has so badly managed education you can only blame your politicians and teachers union.
Maybe your state needs a similar DOGE to audit who and what is draining your tax money.

It has, we have cut our topheavy supervisory contingent down from some 50 statewide offices to 5 , reformatting local school boards to be assuming their responsibilities.

we also plan on showing the pedo's the union advocated the door here, an EO that needs to be met for any future fed funding
