And, actually, yes, guns in the hands of civilians have stopped terror attacks but that's not the point.
The point is that I am more prepared than some to deal with a possible situation.
Having a TSA (or similar operation) prepares us more for a possible terrorist attacks than having nothing.
That's common sense, which I know is a stretch for some people here.
