I wish we could.
I remember the days before being patted down and dealing with surly federal employees and standing in long lines. I hate traveling by air anymore and avoid it at all costs.
But realistically, given the terrorism threats we face constantly, I don't think it's an option. We have had to adjust to the times.
Can some things be eliminated (having to take off your shoes, for God's sake!)?
Sure. We need to work smarter.
But I can't see the TSA going away, as much as I'd like 'em to.
