The BBC showed a video of Trump on January 6th, telling people to go to the Capitol and "fight." When the truth came out, and the total video was shown, the BBC admitted that they edited it to look like Trump told people to go fight, when he didn't (he told them to go peacefully to the Capitol and let their voices be heard). They acknowledged that they did this to make him look bad and the BBC Director General Tim Davie and Head of News, Deborah Turness resigned over the issue. This was in all the news. I suspect that that those who only listen to their own leftist echo chamber, were unaware of that. The other tidbit is that a large group left where Trump was speaking and went to the Capitol to stir up trouble, 15 minutes before he finished his speech and the vast bulk of people there to hear Trump weren't even involved in what happened.
Now as to why they actually did this and the Democrats are onboard with them, it's part of their Marxist Globalist, no-nation borders movement. Once the so-called Democrats eventually get control of all three houses of our government, you can kiss our Constitutional Republic goodbye, massive arrests happen and people disappearing.

1. The Left used Covid to put together this insane load of crap to push through a highly irregular and illegal election they knew they could rig.
2. They spent 400 million in massive efforts to manufacture a wave of select voters just for their cause of installing Biden.
3. When the screwball last-minute come from behind Biden results were in, all questioning, discussion, and challenging of what happened and how were sudden verboten everywhere. Everything was baseless and disproven, even though no one would answer by who and how they knew! Not even the POTUS could catch a break. It was all swept through like a Sirocco.
4. A massive effort was then undertaken to attack and silence anyone and everyone who dared bring up the matter any further. The installation of Joe Biden was not to be examined nor discussed.

After that, Joe Biden put a barricade up around all of DC with armed guards for weeks and no one was allowed to question it.

But Donald Trump they are worried about.
