Why are Mexican, Canadian, and EU Tariffs on US Goods Okay?

So which American tariffs would be okay to place on these foreign states?

"As the United States reimposes tariffs on some Canadian aluminum imports and Canada prepares to hit back, experts say the dispute will make certain products more expensive for Canadians — but it’s not yet clear how awful the pain will be or how long it will last."

This was from 2020, tariffs were on certain goods from Canada and Mexico already.

Say which would be "okay" isn't a good question. No tariffs might be better for everyone except a few people who might benefit. The EU is a perfect example of how well a free trade zone can do, and I guess the US is too.

So you’re one of the dummies that thought Trump was going to have your mess all cleaned up instantly eh? What a clown you are.

I doubt that he is in that category.

But you bobbed your bobble head when your fuhrer made such claims and promoted them here.

/---/ What if the other countries started the trade wars?
President Trump has repeatedly criticized the EU for treating the US car industry unfairly, threatening to raise the tariff on European cars to 25 percent, from the current rate of 2.5 percent. The European Union currently imposes a 10 percent tariff on US cars, in fact creating an unlevel playing field for US car makers trying to sell American-made models to European markets.

As the following chart shows, automobile trade between the United States and the EU is a fairly lopsided affair. In 2018, the EU exported 1,155,488 cars worth $43.1 billion to the US, while the US shipped 267,653 cars worth $6.3 billion to the 28 EU member states. In an interview with German newspaper Welt am Sonntag, Germany’s Secretary of Commerce Peter Altmaier said that the EU would be open to dropping the levy on American cars altogether, but only if it comes as part of a broader tariff agreement.

Which is misalign to say the least.

American cars and trucks are not designed for European or Japanese roads. They are far too big.

And since most of the world taxes gasoline at far higher rates than the US does, American cars are extremely expensive to own.

This has been true for 75 years.

Watch and learn dummy…

Only areal dummy would be stupid enough to believe that trade wars will lower prices.

That has never happened anywhere, anytime in history. Indeed, the opposite happens.

Protected markets close. Domestic prices rise. Do,e sticky made products become more expensive, less well built, and devoid of nr[ew features.

You pay their price for what they give you. They have no competition.

But Trump said it, and millions of morons believe it for no other reason.

Only "areal" dummy would be stupid enough not to understand that foreign companies open manufacturing plants in the US and hire American workers to avoid the tariffs.

Why do Democrats have a hard time with a level playing field for US Trade?
/----/ They don't. They had no problem with Bidum keeping all but one of Trump's tariffs and then adding two more.
It's just their TDS gets triggered with anything the president does.

Sometimes tariffs are put on certain goods and have a good reason for doing so, like protecting a product they think is important. Usually when this happens the other country will also have tariffs on things they think are important.

What Trump is doing is just "tariffs on everything" for no reason other than "I'm a ****, and I can".

So which American tariffs would be okay to place on these foreign states?
Orange man bad!

Two Canadian companies have already made plans to move bringing about 1200 jobs with them.

Patience. We need to deport a few million illegals to have that happen.

DOGE is stopping payments to NGOs, so that should speed up the self-deportations.
A. That won’t happen

B. It wouldn’t bring down prices if it did. In fact it would RAISE prices stupid.

/—-/ How tariffs work:

The Democrats, media, and the USMB progressives are crying the blues over the Trump admin threatening to put tariffs on Canadian, Mexican, and EU goods and products. Why aren't they complaining about Canadian, Mexican, and EU tariffs on US goods and products? If tariffs are so bad, why do these countries use them against the US?

"Mexico import tariff increases

The new Mexican customs provisions state that the following goods are subject to the tariff increase (between 5% to 50%), effective April 23, 2024:

Steel
Aluminum
Textiles
Clothing
Footwear
Wood
Plastic
Furniture
Chemicals
Paper and cardboard
Ceramics
Glass
Electrical materials
Transportation (car parts, generators, bicycles, among others)
Musical instruments  "

Because unlike e.g. a high cost country like the USA - Mexico CAN produce most of these items far cheaper in their own country.

Secondly emerging economies (poor *****) have a tendency to place tariffs due to lacking any other far more effective means till their economy has gained a certain level. See e.g. China in the 80'ies to 2005.

In other words YOUR Trump is applying the means, typical/characterizing that of a "poor ****" country!!
