When I started working in the mid 70s I saw most managerial and high skilled jobs held by white males
Blacks, minorities, women lacked the essentials to take on more responsibility.
By the time I retired in 2018 blacks, minorities and especially women had moved up to executive and high profile positions

I wouldn't even limit it to classical liberalism.

It is a betrayal of the 60s style liberalism as well. The mantras back then were "do your own thing" and "question authority". Today it is "do what we tell you" and "WE are the authority".
