I didn’t watch Hannity last night, and haven’t in some time. I’m guessing he called it a bribe, as well. And why not? It obviously is what it is.
And no, handing out money to college-educated professionals during a period of high inflation will only make things worse for the working class. Why are you so eager to give “debt relief” to those earning six figures, and care so little about the Mom and Pop business owners eeking out a living?
Leftists have everything so damn backwards, and they are getting worse.
I see.
That's the way it usually goes. The people who quote Fox News usually say they don't watch Fox News.
You shouldn't blame the victims (students) of this debt crisis.
If you are going to blame someone go all the Way back to Ronald Reagan and his ridiculous trickle-down economic theory and his redistribution of wealth towards the top tier (wealthy) and away from the middle class and the poor.
And you can also blame every single Republican since Ronald Reagan who has spouted trickle-down economic theory as a cure for our failing economy.
They are full of shit and they know it but it is the only way they can justify tax cuts for the rich at the expense of the middle class.
REPUBLICAN policies are at tge root of this student loan debt crisis.....just like they are the underlying cause of everything else wrong with our crippled economy.
That....and it is just the nature of capitalism to turn in on itself and consume itself eventually.
Like a snake swalliwing it's own tail.
"Over the 30 years between 1991-92 and 2021-22, average tuition prices more than doubled, increasing to $10,740 from $4,160 at public four-year colleges, and to $38,070 from $19,360 at private institutions, after adjusting for inflation, according to the College Board.
Wages haven't kept up. "Household income has been stagnant," said higher education expert Mark Kantrowitz."
Every year millions of new students are pumped into the federal loan system while current borrowers struggle to exit it.
