Who's responsible for the current high prices?

EXXXXXXACTLY.....and as I have posted again and again Main Street USA doesn't care WHO..
they only know WHAT... REAL INFLATION must also necessarily include price gouging. Oddly it is those very corporate profits they're bitching about that the government uses to bolster their claims of GOOD ECONOMY. As the corporate bottom lines grow so does the stock market...the number they proudly parade around in THANK YOU BIDEN posts.
After railing for years and years about how stock market increases only help the one percenters, all of a sudden the left are touting about how the stock market has been doing. They also tout about wage increases and yet the poor who don't work or work little (the people they supposedly care most about) have to pay higher rent, groceries, and everything else and haven't seen any wage increases because they don't work.

They are simply Democrat stooge propagandists, who will say whatever they think is best at that moment.

So-called "Corporate greed" has nothing to do with inflation, dumbass. Government spending more than it takes in is what causes it.

You don't read so well, do you Trumpbot? I didn't say corporate greed had anything to do with inflation.

Government spending more than it takes in. That's something I've been crying about for decades now. And crying about those that do it.

And yet here you are, supporting Trump, who's guilty of that more than any GOP president in our history.

You claim your against something and support someone who's guilty of doing it. That is, unless you're a Trumpbot.

Uh huh. Why? Because costs go up?
So simply adjusting prices for rising cost wouldn’t affect upward profits but only maintain them. Right?
The only way profits rise so precipitously is to increase prices beyond the rate of the cost growth.
Um.....rising costs are usually result of inflation.
Occasionally there are other factors but most of the time it's money value.

yea like wealthy democrats are not greedy fuckers...you are too tainted to know ....

Wealthy democrats aren't lying to the American people to get them to vote against their own best interests like the Murdochs, the Sinclairs or the Mercers.

The Mercers helped the Russian government push the Brexit vote which has undermined the British government. The Murdochs pushed the stolen election lies that have lead to your current political climate.

Nations like Canada and New Zealand can't get an anti-immigrant hate faction off the ground because Rupert Murdoch doesn't own any media outlets in Canada or New Zealand. Canada gets some cross contamination from FOX but it's not getting traction here.

thats not what i said was it?.....go back and read it again....

Umm… rising profits are usually the result of prices that outpace inflationary costs.
Sure there's also free market...but we're talking about supply chain and vendor rates to compose the final cost of product. You are correct....when those costs rise so does the final cost. Add that to a company doing what it's supposed to do for it's shareholders and you get a pissed off consumer.

YOU truly have to be blind if you believe that like magic everything bad happens when one party has more power,
and then All IS BETTER because your group has the upper hand.
Foolish everything is an on going continuation of the rich getting richer controlling more and more
while US the majority are losing ground.

Yes!

You said prices had nothing to do with inflation... accept that you are wrong don't keep digging....

You are playing stupid word games rather than admitting that the OP is absolutely correct. You continue to blame BIDEN for high prices and inflation, that are the result of your free market economy.

Calling on the government to control prices in a free market economy is the very definition of "socialism". Just like supply chain shortages, were created by a "just in time" market economy delivery system, and worsened by deregulation and downsizing in the Commerce Department under the Trump Administration. Fewer staff at ports of entry to admit goods and collect all those new tariff's Trump added.

As always, once proven wrong, you deflect or move the goal posts.

Time for regulators to step in.
I have some sympathy for the thought.... But I can't think of a single time with that kind of interference worked in something as large and disparate as the food economy.
