Who's responsible for the current high prices?

They're also pricing in future higher costs.

You've never done so much as a cursory business model, have you?

NOBODY prices for future higher costs, idiot!! Because we don't know that they will be.

They're using the classic capitalist pricing method: charge as much as you can get for the product.

It's clear you've never run a business in your life.

While reducing production.

My neighbor‘s home took 2 years instead of 9 months to build because of the lack of building supplies.

MORE MONEY CHASING LESS PRODUCTS RESULTS IN INFLATION.

Again, in a free market capitalist economy that how it works.

All of you right wingers who decry “socialism” were angry that Biden wasn’t “doing something” about shortages of baby formula, lumber, and empty store shelves all cheered the trade wars, deregulation attacks on your trading partners, and then blamed Biden for the resulting chaos when Covid ended.

Half of recent US inflation due to high corporate profits, report finds

The corporations have been quick to pass on any increases in cost, but not inclined to pass on the savings when costs went back down.

So not really inflation anymore, but greedflation.

This, my republican friends, is why capitalism requires regulation and oversight.
NO, BIDEN IS TO BLAME.

He has wrecked 3 major factors in economic production

The labor market...more than 7 million have left the labor force, record number of folks with 2 jobs
He has destabilized the housing market....if you have friends in real estate ask them about the $10000 " inducement (which is jacking UP prices)and the shift of credit ratings to allow less good credit to buy a house
He has basically ruined higher education. This is the year that starts the demographic cliff in education.
Yet against the best economic advice he is making education COSTLIER

"A 2017 study from the Federal Reserve Bank of New York found that the average tuition increase associated with expansion of student loans is as much as 60 cents per dollar. "

Every normal person knows this

Pressure on the hydrocarbon markets has translated into increased cost of transportation.....passed on to all retail.

Virtually EVERYTHING inflationary that you blame on Biden is equally shared by Trump

They both dumped trillions into the economy due to Covid

none of these shortages would occur in a free market, dingbat. Those are all the result of government meddling in the system

No one thought Biden would or could do anything about the shortages because it was HIS FAULT!!

Yep 100% agree. Corporations and businesses need more government control otherwise the will be as greedy as they possibly can be. The United States needs more of a centralized economy.
