On the surface it looks like Iran played the US.....but we know so little.
If the USA ends up spending billions in Iran only to have the Ayatollah and RG remain in power then I would say big failure.

I like to think (as do many) that Trump isn't that stupid.
That said we have a corrupt government that will do horrendous things if there's big payoffs to the right pockets (none of which belong to taxpayers or common folks)
