Propaganda. Many European countries have high quality healthcare that is either free or very low cost at the point of use. Yes, higher taxes, but you don't have to worry about if you have a problem. Imagine, if you have some condition, not having to worry about the financial side? What if your health condition means that you end up ultimately losing your job?? Do you get to keep the insurance you had from the job you no longer have? And long term? What if you work for a living, and then when you retire, what happens? Do you get to keep the health insurance you had through your job when you're retired and more likely to need it?
It's built in to the cost of living. Only now, you aren't getting taken advantage as much.
So they don't want to expand it, and they haven't said anything about replacing it.
Democrats are saying they don't want to pass it because of this disagreement about health insurance premiums. If they didn't, then insurance premiums are going to go up by a lot for people of all political affiliations.
They aren't ending it, but it's again, an attack on healthcare for the average American (including republican voters...).
Federal legislation almost always creates winners and losers. The One Big Beautiful Bill Act, now before the Senate, is no exception. Overall, the OBBBA as passed by the House will redistribute resources from the poorest children and families (the losers) to the wealthiest (the winners)...

Remember, Trump said he would not cut Medicaid when he ran for president:
Again, I agree that Democrats should just give republicans what they want. Why do you think Democrats are trying to ensure that the American people's insurance premiums don't go up?
They've convinced you that the only people benefitting from these things are deplorables. I say, let Republicans get what they voted for.
