I admire entrepreneurial spirit when I see it. This is cynical opportunism capitalizing on the elected office he holds and his cult following. Core Android OS is open source and Google Owns it. They maintain control and compatibility.

It only has to be "licensed" to manufacturers if they want to use some of the proprietary elements that Google has put in.

Many of his products, including his clothing line, are made in China. I wonder how a $499 cell phone can be made anywhere else other than China.

The article is incorrect however..... Trump has slowed down product sales since becoming president by well over half. Notably he's had dozens of failed ventures. That's usually the way it is with an active businessman though. He's never stopped being one of those.
