Many people thought that the nation was not yet ready for a candidate of the Senator's ethnicity to be President.

This has been so totally pathetic. Nobody goes by their middle name. Obama is a Christian. He is a Protestant. Even if he were a Muslim, what would it matter? We believe in religious freedom.

Frankly, if I was to consider only the Abrahamic faiths for the presidency, to the exclusion of all other faiths and no faith at all, I would want to see an adherent to the Reformed Movement of the Jewish faith.
