Alex Cole confirmed there is man living in Pittsburgh named Thomas Crooks. He did not confirm he is the Act Blue donor and when you look at the donation record he posted the screen shot of the zip code is listed as 15102. That's the zip code for Bethel Park, which is where the shooter lived.

Go to Whitepages.com and search for "Thomas Crooks" in Pittsburgh. The only person who comes up is a man in his 60s who lives in Cranberry Twp, which is on the complete opposite side of the city. Cranberry Twp is in the North Hills. Bethel Park is in the South Hills, so the donation record would seem to suggest that the shooter was in fact the donor.
