It is far more complicated than just government control of the means of production, capital etc. This is similar to communism and the warped view of capitalism today.

Without the incentive to improve yourself, compete and earn more based on merit. Without the risk of capital by corporations rather than policies shifting to help them or government handouts. Capitalism just isn't capitalism.

I can't think of any one person who I have referred to as a Marxist, though I may misremember. I don't even like using the term "liberal". It is too restrictive and often a misnomer.

The key is to get government out of the lives of citizens. Economically and socially. Do that and succeed. That's my general philosophy. I am also far from an isolationists, I greatly value mechanism of global influence and security.
