Ukraine is blowing up gas pipelines to supply gas that other nations in Europe already paid for. Will Ukraine reimburse them? Free tickets to the new ski report?

Ukraine also destroyed a Russian radio telescope in Crimea. What was the point of that?

Americans are not the only posters, and I think many of us hate paying Ukraine yet do not boost Russia at all. I may be wrong but want to learn. Do you admire Russia?
This is not about admiring Russia. There are some things not right. One is that progressives were antiwar for everything since they were flower children in the 1960's. Republican voters wised up from all the wars of George Sr. and George W and all of a sudden, they change their views. They hate white people except the Ukrainians for some reason. Many of our entertainers, politicians and elitists went to Ukraine after the war started and that was weird. Putin cares about Russia. Not the world. And Ukraine is in Russia's sphere of influence as there is a relationship. We have it seems nothing but party loyalists and influencers manipulating us every day on TV.

There are just two parties killing each other. Putin is the war criminal, so who do you want to win?

I don't want anyone to "win". I just want the fighting to stop, because it is accomplishing nothing at this point.

Let's examine the proposed reasonable peace.

Putin gets to keep Luhansk, Donetsk, and Crimea.

He has to return Kherson and Zaphorizia.

In short, He gets to keep the regions he and his allies already held when this thing started. He returns the territory he won by force of arms.

That doesn't sound like a big win, given

and the West is too feckless to intervene.
NATO chief Rutte: "Why are we interested in what russia thinks about troops in Ukraine? It's a sovereign country. It's not for [Russia] to decide”

Rutte's point is jackass stupid and completely ignores post-Cold War history.
Russia supported Ukraine's independence on condition of neutrality and non-alignment. Washington's aspirations for Ukraine’s NATO membership violated that condition and disregarded previous assurances on NATO non-expansion.

However, let’s suppose Ukraine has an inviolable sovereign right to join any military bloc it likes. If Ukraine’s membership threatens the security balance with neighboring states, those neighbors also have an inviolable sovereign right to defend their interests and restore the balance.

Sovereignty isn’t a license to create provocative security threats and upset the balance of power.

Because they are ethnically Russian.
Ukrainians say that is wrong.

Tell us all this. Texas is ethnically Mexican. Can Mexico invade Texas to do what Putin did?

It is amazing how many pals of Putin are on this forum. They support the Putin invasion in fact.
