Who shall investigate the investigators (a J6 committee update)!

Did Cheney destroy evidence? I have no idea but you'll understand if I don't just take your word for it.
I don't think we should take anyone's word for it....that's why we need the investigation.

House Jan. 6 Committee deleted more than 100 encrypted files days before GOP took majority: sources

Loudermilk is demanding then-Jan. 6 Chairman Thompson provide passwords for encrypted files

In English, the verb 'will' indicates the future. In this case, they needed a pardon, not for what they did in the past but to protect them from what Trump will do in the future.

I hope that is clearer.
How can a pardon for the actions protect them from something Trump might do in the future? The pardon protects them, not trump, for what they did.

So we can arrest Jim Jordan when he leaves Congress?

You’ve almost got me interested in term limits for the first time.

Not arresting, issuing a subpoena for testimony.

They have immunity now for anything they may have done, why not just testify?

Which congressional Republicans, that is republicans who have been a part of the legislative branch, have been jailed?

yeah I am not sure what you mean by "congressional Republicans"
I already explained to you.
Are you asking have any members of Congress been held in criminal contempt and jailed? none that I know of, and certainly none since 2008. I am not sure why that's relevant....I think it's good that members of Congress haven't committed that crime yet
Jim Jordan didn’t comply with his subpoena. So it would certainly appear that they have committed this crime.

I just want the rules to apply equally. That’s all.

Congressional Republicans don’t have to comply with subpoenas. No one else there a part of Congress should.

Has Thompson said why the files were deleted? Since they were encrypted, the GOP don't know what is in them or if they are relevant. They are fishing but I think Thompson needs to respond.

ALL files were requested. It is illegal to not turn them over.

What are they trying to hide should be the question you are asking.

Cheney isn't a part of congress anymore.

Can you investigate someone if there is no crime? I suspect not.

Why? He defined the Jan 6th Committee, which was a criminal enterprise, we know that now since they needed blanket pardons.

Can you investigate someone if there is no crime? I suspect not.
Well, how can you know if there is a crime if an investigation doesn't take place?

In the case of the Jan 6th Committee, we know there was crimes....cause they needed pardons from those crimes.

Correct, we need to investigate.

All files related to the investigation. I doubt a grocery list would be covered.
No need to delete an ENCRYPTED grocery list, now is there.

Your arguments are getting stupider and stupider.

I think the pardon dictates there was no crime. Whatever actually took place is no longer a crime.

Then there can't be a pardon.
