I was re-watching The Vietnam War by Ken Burns and Lyn Novick on PBS. If you haven't seen it, it is quite extraordinary and you can see it for free (with ads) on Dailymotion.
Episode 8 (attached below) is apropos for right now given the unrest on college campuses. At about the 1 hour and 39 minute mark, they discuss the Kent State shootings. So far we haven't had killings (TTBOMK). It details the horrific outcome of the students being shot and killed. Later that week the national guard shot up a dormotory at Jackson State.

It is truly bizarre how we all have heard of Kent State but not so much of a peep about Jackson State.
Anyway, it's something to keep in mind as the protests are likely to grow during the summer.
