Have you not been one complaining that big corporations make too much money or that big corporate CEOs receive excessive compensation and that makes them dangerous?

So what is fair?

FactFinder did all his chores, completed his homework, and earned all A's on his report card, each earning promised increases in his allowance. Brother spent all his time playing video games and otherwise goofing off and didn't do any of his chores, didn't turn in any homework, and brought home failing grades in several classes. Oh dear, FactFinder is getting a much larger allowance than Brother and that isn't fair. Let's take away some of FactFinder's allowance and give it to Brother to make it more 'fair'.

Citizen A (FactFinder) stayed in school, stayed away from illegal activities, applied for extra credit, got involved in school activities, and learned as much as he could to qualify for an excellent college where he also went the second, third, and fifth mile to excel in his coursework. Graduating at the top of his class he was hired for a promising entry level position by a big corporation and put in the time and effort necessary to learn everything he could and make himself as valuable as possible. He thereby merited promotions, moved up the corporate ladder, and one day the Board of Directors named him CEO with a multi-million dollar salary and lots perks.

Citizen B (that would be Brother) finally completed a GED but is pretty well stuck in dead end jobs that pay the rent but not a whole lot more. In his mind his work is just as necessary as Citizen A's work and should be worth much more. Citizen A has time to play golf, go sailing, and vacation in the south of France. That just isn't fair. Let's take some of Citizen A's salary and give it to Citizen B to make it more 'fair'.
