It will come down to those two but the candidates could not be more disparate sans the fact that they are old Jewish men. So whomever wins the final nomination will alienate a good % of the Democrat voter base. And how is it that they change the rules to qualify for the debate stage for Bloomberg but would not for Tulsi Gabbard? This on the heels of the debacle in Iowa.

the dems are the big tent party of today, but whether they can maintain it and generate turnout is a question. Neither Bernie nor Bloomberg so far shows any ability to do it. I do know, however, that Bloomberg has state offices in the southern states, and imo his "problems" with black voters are overstated.

It requires automobiles to have 75% of their components manufactured in North America. The International Trade Commission report found that these changes would add 28,000 jobs in the industry over six years. That's up from 63% under NAFTA. It also says 40 to 45% percent of automobile parts must be made by workers paid $16 an hour on average by 2023. And it strengthens labor laws, particularly in Mexico, by allowing inspectors into facilities to investigate violations of workers' rights.

Manufacturing workers have long blamed NAFTA for sending jobs to Mexico, where wages are lower, and it was a priority for Democrats that the USMCA strengthen the enforcement of labor rules, creating a more level playing field for American workers.

Lawmakers were able to include some changes to enforcement language before coming to an agreement Tuesday with the Trump administration, and the deal now has the backing of the AFL-CIO, the largest federation of unions in the US.

"For the first time, there truly will be enforceable labor standards -- including a process that allows for the inspections of factories and facilities that are not living up to their obligations," said AFL-CIO President Richard Trumka in a statement.

The deal struck by Democrats provides for an interagency committee that will monitor Mexico's labor reform implementation and compliance with labor obligations. It also, for the first time in any US trade agreement, allows for "rapid response" panels to review whether specific facilities are violating workers' rights and to levy duties or penalties on products made at those facilities.
