I'm not sure I really like ID voting used to track whether individuals voted or not (as has been used to prove people have voted early and especially often and even late well after they died)

I really don't like anyone tracking me from the government.

Then you don't like universal mailed ballots...all tracked with id codes and the voter's name and address attached to the ballot. Me neither.

It's the fact that they are tracking and storing the information.

IOW the votes are not by secret ballot anymore.

Voting is not a privilege, it's a right.
Driving an automobile is a privilege, so having a license and any infractions of the rules/laws concerning this privilege are recorded and available for public consumption.

Voting is supposed to be a "God given right". Meaning only God knows where, when, and especially who you voted for.

The screen shots shown are what is commonly referred to as "De-identified" data....meaning there is an identity attached to these data points. Which is completely different from what the framers of the constitution intended.

And if one day Voting Republican becomes a treasonous activity? Your newly issued "social credit" identification is declared "persona non-grata" by an artificial intelligence.....you are now in a world of trouble.

Voter ID is a matter of trust in our election process, and right now it's pretty low. Warranted or not, there's a bunch of people that believe there is rampant voter fraud and that leads to distrust of the elected gov't representatives and that ain't good. It's not a question of privacy, nobody needs to know who you voted for, only that you have the legal right to vote and I see nothing wrong with that. An effort should be made to get a prescribed document that allows them the right to vote if they legally should have it, and frankly if a person won't go through the process to get a voter-id then IMHO they shouldn't be allowed to vote.
