not saying he couldnt play guitar im sure he could...but his thing was the bass and of course probably the best blues composer of all time...he played the bass on all of Chuck Berry's 50's recordings and many of Bo Diddley's and Muddy Waters and Howling Wolf...waters and wolf played many songs composed by him....Interesting information thanks. He was class personified. And a great guitarist: tasteful, he didn't need to fill every space with notes. But every note he played meant something.I was going to say BB King, saw him in concert at The Electric Ballroom in Atlanta, he called me up on stage, a nice gentleman, [ I was holding up a napkin for autograph.]
