In the end, our system failed this kid, the kid's parents failed him, the cops who killed him failed him and his own monumental stupidity failed him right down into a grave. In short . . . no protests will be launched to burn, pillage and loot in his memory. This kid was a poster child for bad juju and extremely bad karma.

I am kind of curious about a couple of things. Not saying they were wrong to shoot, but if all they saw was him point his pellet rifle, but not seeing and not hearing any shots, 1. Did they spotlight and tell him to drop the weapon or just open fire? Knowing that even diagonal distance across and intersection is usually less than 50 meters. Why did it take 7 rounds from a patrol rifle, I am assuming to be an AR/M-16 or equivalent to take the kid down and why did the supporting Officer even make 5 supporting hand gun night shots at around 50 meters? I have never missed a 50 meter rifle shot, day or night and only do 50 meter handgun shots in the daytime to show off for sport.
