But the government was effective at getting companies to test randomly and as a condition of employment just to get a job, with counting the costs of the testing as a business expense, credits and inducements to insurance companies, along with the insurance companies themselves giving better rates to companies that tested and being able to charge higher rates to those that didn't. Now testing is pretty much commonplace.

And those tests as conditions of employment are being defeated daily. The tests that are not easily fooled are largely cost prohibitive. A simple, inexpensive, effective test-defeating kit is available for purchase at any health food store for the asking. Any time the government seeks to control the populace, the populace will find a way to defeat the oppression.

Vaccines take 5 to 12 years to be fully vetted and deemed safe. The process takes hundreds of clinical trials trying to cover every possible contingent and even with all of that, people are suffering from the horrible side effects from vaccines deemed (Stable and Safe) and filing huge lawsuits. It is so bad that the left (until Donald Trump came around) screamed bloody murder at how Big Pharma was just raping sick people and providing meds that didn't work and had too many sides-affects.

Now, a vaccine comes along in under 9 months and you can't figure out why people would not want to take it?

Got to say. Agree with every word in that post. The way they got testing sucked. The effect on a lot of good people sucked. I've seen people who were not high with broken bones at work deny treatment until off work, just to keep their job and the company got to skate on the workman's comp. If they were going to push that crap it should have indeed been quantitative rather than simply qualitative, but yes that would have been damned expensive, especially back then when it started. I put up with it, military and civilian career. Am retired for the last 6 years and was not even aware it was changing. That said. I would get the shot, dude. I've had covid.
