Truthfully Ford, Clinton and Obama never lived under 'assumed names'- they all however as children lived with names that were not their legal names.
Eventually Ford and Clinton legally changed their names- but lived for years- just as Barack Obama did- with a nick name as the first name- and the name of a step father as their last name.
