When we get universal healthcare like the rest of the civilized world, our auto industry will have a better chance to compete with them on prices since they won't have to put in 1500 dollars for each car to pay our Managed Care companies and Doctors.

That universal healthcare argument is bullshit. When someone wakes the UAW up to it not all being about the UAW and infuses a dose of reality into those pea-sized brains, overhead could be reduced dramatically.

Since universal healthcare involves taxing taxpayers, save you shell game. Whatever good you think is going to happen with your charge toward mediocre healthcare will be taken back in taxes.

They've been doing all the 'right things', but if the government does the 'quick rinse', 30 day bankruptcy of GM, forcing a bunch of closures/mergers of dealerships; breaks the agreements with retirees; closes plants, (look at the blue/red states); it puts GM (government motors, someone said), ahead of Ford. It also gives Obama the argument that nationalized medicine is necessary for manufactures, especially those retirees that just lost their medical.

That ain't gonna happen. Obama is too much of a narcissist to do that. He's having a hay day, and I don't think he really cares how bad he's screwing things up, or hes just too stupid to know. People are trying to warn him of the growing deficit and how it will cripple this country in the near future, but he just keeps spending money. He keeps moving this country closer and closer to socialism, and now he's expanding the war in afghanistan even though he promised all his disciples he'd end all wars and appease our enemies. And that is just the short list. But I don't see much outrage coming from republicans. As usual, they're out to lunch. I'm so disgusted with ALL politicians I could PUKE!
