Thank you for that excellent example of endlessly parroting to bolster my case against the new Banana Republicans.

Most welcome....and thank you for admitting the truth of my post.

Always happy to expose false claims based on false narratives.

I've exposed you as a liar in earlier threads...but, just to move our discourse to a higher plane, try this: when you attempt to claim 'false narratives,' you should provide them, and show them to be false.

We both know why you didn't: there are no 'false narratives.'

Lets take A. (1) You claim Democrats are for open borders. Okay, so what? So are Republicans. To further clarify, both parties support controlled borders. Border security funding is still bipartisan and neither support (2) illegal immigration. That would mean support for No Border.

They're all false narrative. But that is your SOP.

"They're all false narrative."

Let's check.

1. “The new guard of the Democratic Party absolutely supports open borders

Rep. Keith Ellison, D-Minn., isn’t on the fringe of the Left. He is the second ranking member of the Democratic National Committee and he basically wears his immigration policy on his sleeve. More specifically, the No. 2 Democrat wore a T-Shirt that literally said “I don’t believe in borders.”

The most honest voice on the Left is also the newest. A left-wing, Bernie Sanders volunteer named Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez just offed Rep. Joe Crowley, the New York Democrat who was waiting in the wings to take over for Nancy Pelosi. Young and earnest at just 28-years-old, Ocasio-Cortez ran on a simple far-left platform that included abolishing ICE.

The progressive darling made the rounds on cable Wednesday to introduce the rest of the country to the message that had just helped her win in New York the night before. Abolishing ICE wasn’t just a question of enforcement at the border. It is about enforcing a redefined idea of the border itself.

The policy of Ocasio-Cortez and the growing number who agree with her is one where enforcement of White House policy makes ICE agents not just cruel but actually inhumane. Her solution requires a completely new agency and a completely new vision of the border where border patrol become travel agents instead of law enforcement. They won’t deter anyone entering illegally. Instead they will offer “safe passage.” The new guard of the Democratic Party absolutely supports open borders

2. “Why Are the Democrats Obsessed With Open Borders?

The answer is straightforward, POWER! It’s simple really, more people necessitates a ‘need’ for more government. The current migrant caravan story is just the latest example. We’ve been in an illegal immigration crisis for decades, with tens of millions of people entering the country illegally.

So follow with me now – more people, more government. And what’s the point of an open border? To invite illegal immigration.

A brand new study shows that 63 percent of non-citizens are on some kind of welfare program. 70 percent of non-citizens who have been in the country for longer than 10 years are on a welfare program.” The Democrats Have a VERY Clear Purpose for Wanting Open Borders - And It's NOT Just Votes

4. “Yes, Democrats Are Now The Party Of Open Borders

…recent events show that the party has, in fact, morphed into one that reflexively opposes virtually any attempt to secure the southern border.

…the House voted on a bill that simply expressed Congress' "continued support for all United States Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) officers and personnel who carry out the important mission of ICE" and "the efforts of all Federal agencies, State law enforcement, and military personnel who bring law and order to our Nation's borders."

Just 18 Democrats voted for this resolution. Thirty-five voted no. And the other 133 dodged the issue altogether by voting "present."

…San Francisco started registering illegal immigrants this week, so they can vote in the November city school board election."We want to give immigrants the right to vote," Norman Yee, a county supervisor, said.

So, let's add all this up.

Democrats want to neuter the one agency responsible for enforcing border security. They want to make it easy for illegals who cross to stay in the country. And they want to give them the right to vote.

5. “Yes, the Democrats Are for Open Borders

Long before #AbolishICE became a rallying cry for the party’s socialist wing, Democratic bigwigs have been saying that no illegal alien should ever be sent home merely because he snuck into the country or overstayed a visa. Nancy Pelosi in 2013 put it very clearly: “If somebody is here without sufficient documentation, that is not reason for deportation.” Hillary Clinton said much the same during one of the 2016 primary debates: “Of the people, the undocumented people living in our country, I do not want to see them deported.” Likewise with Bernie Sanders, at the same debate; in response to Jorge Ramos’s question, “And can you promise not to deport immigrants who don’t have a criminal record?” Sanders answered, “I can make that promise.”

If you will an end, you must will the means to that end. The Democrats have demonstrated that there are no means to achieve the goal of controlled immigration that they are willing to support — not border control to keep unauthorized people from barging in, and not deportation of those who manage to get past the notional borders. For a pedant, that may not qualify as “open borders,” in the sense that national frontiers would be completely unmonitored, merely jurisdictional markers showing who picks up the garbage on which side of the line. But it’s good enough for government work.” Democrats' Open Borders Immigration Policy | National Review

Quite a beating you're taking, huh?

Couldn't happen to a nicer......

There are several problems with your rants.

1. Sanders is losing by a fairly large margin and will likely lose big again tonight.

2. Red states are the largest pockets of welfare in this country. Blue states generally are closer to the top in per capita income while red states are closer to the bottom.

3. Voters support DACA by better than 60%. DACA is the kind of program that should be supported by Republicans. The Republican Party of Ronald Reagan would support this.

4. Worth noting that ICE has been around only since 2003. It is a lawless organization that needs to be either reformed or abolished.

5. The last time I checked, Democrats have passed spending bills for border security but have refused to spend money on a wall. A position supported by voters.

This is what Ronald Reagan said, “Rather than talking about putting up a fence, why don’t we work out some recognition of our mutual problems? Make it possible for them to come here legally with a work permit, and they, while they’re working and earning here, they’d pay taxes here. And when they want to go back, they can go back. They can cross. Open borders both ways,”

....or, to put it another way, which side is looking out for its own power and interests above the interests of the American people?

While the right, under this President, has benefited the people in a multitude of ways, the Democrats, the Left, wishes for the collapse of the economy so it will benefit their return to power.

Watch Bill Maher Two Years Ago Say We Want To Crash the Economy
By Mark SimoneMar 15, 2020

Is this all part of a vast left wing conspiracy to crash the economy? Bill Maher said in 2018 that he is "hoping" for the bottom to fall out of the economy and for the country to enter a recession so we can "get rid of Trump." He said one way to do that is a "crashing economy." Maher said he is "sorry" if it hurts people, but rooting for a recession is a prevention measure to losing democracy.

Neither side is looking out for the people. Including the media.

More of the same highly partisan copy and paste Hyperbole. Let take a look at the first object in your counter-narrative. Keith Ellison instead of insinuating something awful because of a tee shirt slogan why not go with his answers.

When you think about illegal immigration, which of the following solutions come closest to your opinion?
  • A: All illegal immigrants should be able to stay in the US legally
  • B: Most illegal immigrants should be able to stay in the US, with some exceptions
  • C: Most illegal immigrants should be deported, with some exceptions
  • D: All illegal immigrants should be deported
  • E: Unsure

I documented, linked and sourced all of it....time for you to slither away, liar.

Nice to know where you get you false information/narratives that you string together. Thanks again.

you people who think the government is looking out for you are delusional

You misunderstand the issue.

Your job is to decide which party is better for the American public, not whether government meets all of your desires.

This may help:

a. the Democrats favor open borders and illegal immigration....Obama told illegals to go and vote.....is any of this a benefit to Americans?

b. Trump has reduced the burden of regulations....does this benefit Americans?

c. Trump is trying to stymie the world's worst state sponsor of terrorism from getting the nuclear weapons that the Democrats guaranteed them....does this benefit Americans?

d. Tax cuts are part of the Right's agenda.....does this benefit Americans?

e. The Democrats are running on anti-white bias.....does dividing the country based on skin color benefit Americans?

And, of course, Maher is correct...

Funny, given it sure seems like they are very different.

It matters not because the same interests own both parties.

The joke's on you

And yet I can see clear policy differences between the parties routinely...

Let me ask you this, as a simple illustration....

Yes or no: The corporate income tax would have been lowered if Hillary Clinton had been elected?

If the answer is "no".... *pop* there went your theory.

"Paul Krugman Celebrates Stock Market Rout Because He Thinks It Hurts Trump

Paul Krugman, the Nobel Prize-winning trade economist and New York Times columnist, celebrated the sharp decline of the stock market due to the coronavirus on the grounds that, in his opinion, it would hurt President Donald Trump.

“Economists, myself included, often make a point of saying that the stock market is not the economy, which it isn’t. It *is,” however, pretty much the Trump presidency,” Krugman tweeted. “Take away his magic talisman and there’s nothing left.”

Paul Krugman Celebrates Stock Market Rout: Thinks It Hurts Trump

Tell this to the Democrats, see if they care:

'We're just a mom & pop business:' Utah's small business owners try to stay afloat
We are just a mom and pop business. It's going to hurt.

Medina is the third owner of the restaurant which was started by her grandfather Rafael Torres in 1967.

Right now, she is very worried about her employees - several who are single mothers:

We have families that provide for college students, single mothers. This is their income."

A Breitbart opinion piece masquerading as journalism where you (and other posters) are asserting Krugman said and meant something he didn't and another piece (although admirable) that doesn't mention the word "Democrat" once.

Do aspire to be anything other than the alt-right bottom feeder you are? :)

They did quite a job on you in government school, huh?

Just between the two of us, aren't you a wee bit ashamed to have buckled under so easily?

I paid my way through college just fine with no help from the government..or my state. Ashamed? Actually, in my limited interactions with your posts, it looks like I have you on the run. I'm actually quite pleased with myself.

LOL....

The vision of you, that you just portrayed on here, is of a 13-year-old boy standing naked in front of a mirror, looking down and saying.... "I'm actually quite pleased with myself."

Hey, if that image puts the wind in your sails, leave me out of it. Just pointing out that all her responses are pretty toothless.

Policy differences really?

What are the actual differences in RESULTS ?

Reagan said he was a small government guy but he wasn't

Bill Clinton did more to militarize the police than anyone else

Every president no matter what the party has continued to feed the military industrial complex and keep us involved in foreign wars

you have to stop listening to what politicians say and actually observe what they do

....or, to put it another way, which side is looking out for its own power and interests above the interests of the American people?

Democrats, Liberals and Progressives.

There, that was easy.

Wanting the world to implode, for your own political benefit, doesn't seem like you are looking out for the best interest of the country.

Which is correct. But that's not what Krugman said...or even implied. Breitbart is a right wing opinion rag that masquerades as journalism. The article is dishonest because it tries to present itself as fact when the writer is offering his opinion.

Ok, here's your chance.

Yes or no: Did Krugman say that?

If yes, then explain what his point was in saying it. No point at all? Just random babblings without purpose? Or was he once again, injected political goals into a loaded statement?
