Which Side Are You On?

I don't remember any Jews crashing airplanes into our buildings.

Nope, but our support for Israel against all others was one of the factors. Read bin Laden, he wrote a letter to America, that you haven't read I bet?

Full text: bin Laden's 'letter to America'

Oh, so that means we deserved it? A letter justifies that act of terrorism?

Bullshit.

Well bin Laden thought his actions justified, and my bet if you read what he wrote you'd find a good deal of agreement with him about decadent and immoral American culture? Know your enemy eh? What he wrote tens of millions of people believe, and as you've seen, they are willing to die for such beliefs.

People can almost always justify what they do. That's our nature and why we are so very dangerous. Humans, almost without exception, believe themselves to be on the side of righteousness. Bin Laden certainly thought so, and so do you...

"You will know them by their actions."
Yes, people find a way to justify their actions. But I don't have to swallow their rationalizations.

Nope, but you should understand them, it might just change your outlook or even save your life...

I understand - I've even read your precious letter, as well as many accounts and histories written from various points of view.

His letter isn't precious, but it's informative. What did you think of his cultural analysis? Lots of sinners in America eh?

I think he very selectively imposes the "right of conquest."

He's human, or was, so no shock there eh...

If memory serves, he starts HIS history with the conquest of the area from the Romans by the "Palestinians". But there was no such thing as a "Palestinian" at that time. AND the history goes back further.

AND if he recognizes the right of conquest, then he must recognize that the Arabs lost some turf when they and their ally Hitler got whupped in WW II.

I stand in favor of a two state solution where both side recognize each other. A contiguous state for the Palestinians in the West Bank and Gaza, free of Israeli Settlements. Palestinians must recognize Israels' right to exist and denounce terrorism and violence against them.

Only one problem, Zionism doesn't allow for anything like that, especially a two-state solution.

But the West Bank and Gaza are not contiguous.

Nope, but they aren't the squatters in this case...

Sorry I meant in the West Bank. Obviously those two pieces are separated.

I guess I'm not on the Zionist side then.

Yep, nothing like a great nation, with another nation in between that just happens to control the airspace, ports, water, power, travel, and borders...

Good, no decent person should be.

No matter how you slice it or cut it up, the bottom line is that Israel is the aggressor nation which wrongfully seized land that belonged to someone else. However, to really understand what is going on here, substitute Afrikaner for Israeli and Black for Palestinian and then think about which side you should be on.

Why canÂ’t the Palestinians enjoy same rights as everyone else in the world? The reason is that this would mean that in Israel, the Palestinians would enjoy the same rights as the Israelis and to an Israeli, equal rights for anyone else under the law is anathema and repugnant. Why? All Jews claim the right of return and this means that the Jews of the world have a right to live in Palestine irrespective of whether they or their ancestors ever lived there or not. If Palestinians also enjoyed a right of return, then it would be incumbent upon the Israeli government to help them return to their homes in Israel, the only difference being that, in many cases, they would be returning to the homes which they formerly lived in and had been occupied by their families for generations; albeit homes or land now occupied by Israelis.

In conclusion, a right of return entails a winner and a loser. This being the case, there is no such right either in truth or in the eyes of God.

Israel is not the aggressor. Period.
