In an ideal world, elections would be held between midnight and four AM in the wee hours of Monday morning, in remote locations. Voters would be required to present not only a picture ID, but a copy of their most recent year's Federal tax return, proving that they actually paid some fukking taxes (geezers excepted). A normal response to the political circus would be to withdraw from it. Why people still vote is a mystery. I vote to preserve the process while not expecting anything good to come of it. All elections do is ensconce a bad rep in their office or replace them with others that are equally bad.
