British brigade fought with the Finns in 1940 against the Soviets

May 21, 2020 · In 1940 we sent a brigade to Finland to aid in their struggle for independence from the Soviets. On 20th February 1940, a group of 250 volunteers left London for Finland in order …
The🇫🇮Finnish authorities at the time apparently received notice of no less than 8900 British citizens willing to come fight as volunteers, but never made it to the fight before it was all over.

Up to 500 Uniformed Brits were in Combat or in support roles until the Script flipped and the Finns saddled up with the Germans . The British Soldiers & support staff were ( Arrested ) ( Shot ) ( Ditched their Uniforms and escaped to Sweden ) …

They lost a few hundred Square miles , the Russians took 4/ 10ths of Non Russian Europe
Yes, they lost. They lost the land during the Soviet attack, and then allowed the Soviets to keep it.

That's not a stalemate.

STILL, according 1945 standards , Enola Gay did noting wrong
Because she didn't. Don't want to get nuked? Don't **** around.

Considering they were in the Axis they came out of the war better than any Axis Power or satellite State .

They weren't in the Axis truly. They accepted weapons from the Germans, attacked back to the border they had lost, and stopped.

That's why Stalin let them live.

Thy had thousands of troops in the Soviet Union fighting alongside the Nazis and like the Nazis committing war crimes, here are some serving in the Waffen SS.

There were foreigners in everyone's armed forces, including a Hitler fighting for the Americans.

And someone is upset that border Finns fought in Russian and German outfits?

Preposterous, I say!

They lost their border region as a result of those negotiations.

Then got it back and more in the Continuation War. And that land they lost in that conflict was returned but then leased to the Soviet Union until 1956 where it became part of Finland once again.

Gee, some loss there. At the end, the borders were right back where they were at the start of the Winter War. A war by the way which the Soviets started.

Because there was nobody else who could help them.

Because of WWII, none of the Allied Powers were in a position to give Finland any assistance against the Soviets because quite literally Germany sat between them and Finland. They were not willing partners with Germany, but the choice given to them was to either work with Germany, or be crushed and absorbed by the Soviet Union.

But they were very fickle allies at best to the Germans. Once they regained their lost territory in the Continuation War, they pretty much stopped all further advances. And when Germany tried to pressure them to allow Germany to solve their "Jewish Problem", their Prime Minister stated that they did not have a Jewish Problem and refused.
