Where would you rather live?

Addis, Louisiana is where my interest has been since May of last year when I discovered American Idol runner up John Foster. :) :) :)

God bless you and him always!!!

Holly (a girl who loves him more every day)

P.S. Addis is right outside Baton Rouge, and my only question right now is does the area ever get hit with hurricanes?

I'd live in a tent in the middle of nowhere before I'd spend one day with neighbors every few feet. I have friends that moved to the Villages where every day is scheduled with coffee clutches, and barbecues and card games and people, and people, and people. That would be my nightmare.

You da man!! :113:
well thx Mike.......but to be honest i was the man with no choice save to sink or swim

i managed to swim, but what really kept my head above water was my friends......i gotta lot of 'em in low places......... 😏

and yes, my neck is so red it can probably be seen from space......

does that really make me a bad person?

My house got hit by a hurricane in KY, so yeah!

^^^ I am asking about the Baton Rouge area of Louisiana, not Kentucky.

God bless you always!!!

I'm already living the Tenn. model, but even better with brick and mortar on a basement. . . so, in that way, I'm very fortunate because that would be my choice of the three.

You honestly don't know if coastal Louisiana gets hurricanes?

Baton Rouge is in North Louisiana so that mitigates some hurricane impact. Inversely, there's this weird corridor between Houston and halfway to New Orleans that seems to attract a good bunch of storms.

Baton Rouge translates to "red post". Some early French explorers went to the area in the summer and set posts all along the Mississippi River. When they returned the following summer, the future site of Baton Rouge was where they found the first one. All the other ones to the south had been taken by storms and flooding.
Baton Rouge isn't that far north of New Orleans, check the map in the link.
