Where would we be if Trump were president?

What are you talking about? I just posted the price of gasoline for the last six months of Trump's term. Gasoline was steady with some small fluctuations which is normal. It was between $2.10 to $2.20.
The chart you posted showed every week in April was below 2 dollars. That was the height of the oil glut. A year later the glut was mostly gone and prices rebounded to pre-pandemic levels quickly. Then demand outpaced the recovery across the globe....

It's the global supply thing that gets them everytime. IF we demanded oil producers who took oil from US lands only sell it in the US as reduced prices from what they could get elsewhere .... well, then they'd say we shouldn't let them produce oil in other countries.

Dementia ran out of Afghanistan leaving 83 billion dollars of US military gear
So you think we should have destroyed the gear we gave the Afghan Army to defend themselves and their country with? Since we were still giving them air support as late as July we should have just stabbed them in the back like they were Kurds and bombed them maybe?????

Man, with friends like you and ol'Trumpybear, who needs enemies?

You people keep pointing to record production under Biden. That production is not keeping up with demand.

Our production of oil has not kept up since before the 60's.

btw we're still a little more than 1 mbd short of the record. Nearly 12 mbd is nothing to sneeze at however.....

Biden might not have put that hardware in Afghanistan, lol

Production impacts Price….. as does Policy and Global Market Conditions. Why do defenders of Biden’s oil policies point solely to production records as the sole determinant of pricing while discounting or outright denying policies as a catalyst impacting a price as well?

Would you say Biden’s policies favor or hinder the US oil industry?

I point to production, drilling and exploration when those are erroneously used by the SAULBIDEN group when they say that Bidens' policies effect on them created the rising gas prices since the end of the pandemic.

More denial.

When Dementia announced we were leaving everybody jumped ship including their army, if you could call them that.

Upon the decision to vacate Afghanistan Dementia should have removed those weapons since there was nobody on the good side that was going to use them anyway. After the weapons were removed or destroyed, then remove our citizens and the people there that provided support to our military. Last but not least, remove our military.

How does it "get" us? We've known all along oil is a global market and are plenty happy with it. It's not just oil, but everything sold in the commodities market.

The commodities market was designed to stabilize prices. Without it oil and gasoline companies could charge whatever they want when they want. We would have been paying $10.00 per gallon of gasoline 20 years ago or more.
