Where Does Lack Of Empathy Come From?

Aka. You see someone drowning.

The rescue is dangerous.

What would you do Troll?
Rope.
If no rope, how big a person we talking here?
Fat people should never drown BTW. They float like rubber ducks.
A child? Sure, no problem. I can hold a fifth grader at arm's length and drag him/her out by their hair.

Low functioning sociopaths are the ones that randomly kill people for no reason other than their personal amusement.

You kill them. There is no cure.
They arent low functioning in fact they function quite well. Ted Kacinsky was a genius. The Boston Strangler highly intelligent. They do have reasons, a cause, for killing.

Unfortunately, we live in a society in which one side of the political spectrum devalues human life, works at dissolving the family structure, endorses political violence, and wants God removed from all discussion. These are the things that lead to these shootings.
USMB?

Low functioning as in they are incapable of controlling their killing.

I would say that it was upbringing but that's not always the case. For the most part I think that it is though. Even in upbringing it has to have a beginning somewhere so is it a generational thing? How have we sunk so low as a society with such low regard for human life both big and small?

Damn, the video cut out before we got to see the guy go under! I wonder if his rotting corpse will affect the strength of the concrete mix?

We're all on a sociopathy spectrum.

Not really. You have your normal, well-adjusted people who cope with their environment, then you have those who cannot cope, cannot adjust, who must survive by putting up either some form of resistance or escape, and within that group are your neurotics, sociopaths, and psychopaths.

"Violence is the last refuge of the incompetent."
Then the Left must be very incompetent.

Places that invest in their children have a lot less violence.
Guess what? You just declared progressivism as the main cause of increased moral degeneration and sociopathy in our young, for who has invested less in children than progressives do?
  • You deprive them of family.
  • You deprive them of parents (real mom and dad).
  • You deprive them of God (or some genuine, fixed moral standard).
  • You deprive them of sexual identity (half the kids now look neither masculine nor feminine).
  • You deprived them of their youth and innocence (they were isolated from other kids, friends, family, school, etc. for 3 years).
  • You deprive them of their country.
Now you are surprised they are fighting back? Kids growing today are simply revolting to the world you've created and forced them into.

Low functioning as in they are incapable of controlling their killing.
They are very capable of complex plans. They are very much in control. Here Ill give you the diagnostic criteria

In the DSM-5, Antisocial Personality Disorder (ASPD) is characterized by a pervasive and chronic disregard for—and violation of—the rights of others. A formal diagnosis requires the individual to be at least 18 years old with a documented history of Conduct Disorder before the age of 15. [1, 2]
Diagnostic Criteria
To meet the DSM-5 diagnostic criteria for ASPD, an individual must exhibit a continuous pattern of ignoring the rights of others, starting by age 15, as indicated by at least three (3) of the following: [1, 2]
  • Failure to conform to social norms: Repeatedly engaging in acts that are grounds for arrest.
  • Deceitfulness: Habitual lying, using aliases, or conning others for personal pleasure or profit.
  • Impulsivity: Failing to plan ahead or acting recklessly without forethought.
  • Irritability and aggressiveness: Frequently getting into physical fights or committing assaults.
  • Reckless disregard: Taking dangerous risks without concern for the safety of oneself or others.
  • Consistent irresponsibility: Repeatedly failing to maintain steady employment or honor financial/social obligations.
  • Lack of remorse: Indifference to or rationalizing the mistreatment, theft, or harm inflicted upon others. [1, 2]
Essential Conditions
In addition to meeting at least three of the above behavioral criteria, the following conditions must be met to confirm a diagnosis: [1, 2]
  • The individual must be at least 18 years old.
  • There must be evidence of Conduct Disorder onset prior to age 15.
  • The antisocial behaviors do not occur exclusively during the course of Schizophrenia or a Bipolar disorder (manic episode). [1, 2]

That's not what I am referring to. High functioning sociopaths don't murder people. They will do unethical business deals and the like, but they are able to control their homicidal tendencies.

My wife is a PhD psychologist. Her grad school friend was the head of the Arapahoe County psych department, I know what I'm talking about.

Ted Kacinsky was high functioning so was Eric Harris, Albert DeSalvo, and Ted Bundy. Sam Berkowitz also comes to mind.
Sociopath isnt a term we use today. Inform your wife.
The process is a lack of empathy not cognitive functioning.
You dont know what youre talking about.

We are surrounded by high-functioning sociopaths all around us. They appear like perfectly normal people until their sociopathy is triggered by some key social situation, much like a broken LED display may appear perfectly normal and still give the correct answers until you input the right digits into it to elucidate the defective part of the board.
