Where does CBS get their COVID statistics... 40% increase in hospitalizations???

Every day since 2/7/20 I've visited this site: https://www.worldometers.info/coronavirus/
I've tracked the COVID cases and per the above site today...
of the total 35,184,671 cases in the USA... total deaths: 626,713 or 1.7% of cases...0.19% of total population!
BUT we have CBS as a bloated MSM, blowing out of proportion.... "40% increase in hospitalizations" WRONG!
From this source: COVID-19 Hospitalizations
At the end of 7/17/21....From age 0-65 total cases: 698 cases... so where did 40% come from??

With the way the media has twisted statistics to enhance the panic since day 1, they're probably counting hospitalizations for any and all reasons, and only in certain selected areas that best promote the narrative

The truth is so far I have seen no organization to the statistics collection methods and certainly nothing done by the rules of empirical data collection and processing.

I've been screaming about this since the beginning of this stupid thing. Recently a European statistical analysis agency gave the American data collection services a failing grade in both method and likely bias of information collection.

They're just coming up with numbers to support the narrative whenever and wherever they need them and it's beginning to show.
