Ah yes, the irony....
GOP..."The ACA will result in people losing policies they like"
Obama....."if you like your policy, you can keep your policy, period."
GOP......"The ACA will result in many people losing their doctors"
Obama...."if you like your doctor, you can keep your doctor, period"
GOP....."policy premiums will go up for many of those that do not get subsidies"
Obama...."the average premium will decrease by $2500"
GOP...."the younger invincibles will not sign up at the rate the POTUS claims and thus there is no way the ACA will be deficit neutral"
Obama...."the invincibles will sign up at a rate of 40% making the ACA deficit neutral.
People lose their policies and doctors. Premiums go up. Invincibles are signing up at a much lower rate...
And what do we hear?
"Why hasn't the GOP offered ideas to fix the ACA"
True, but its not so much a fix. Frankly, Obamacare may be unfixable. The problem now is we have a bunch of states that expanded Medicaid, others that didn't ... and don't see how they longterm can afford to .... and a bunch of folks getting tax credits that are partially paid for by raising other workers premiums on the insurance they already had.
The gop consciously chose to not address the issue. They did try to work with Clinton early on. And there were compromised up until 2000. But W took a pass. Still, the dems made this mess all by themselves.
