When trump's retribution tour begins, could someone tell me if....

So 1916

Teachers began unionizing in 1916
60's and 70's were creating the best and brightest.......now we import the best and brightest, giving them jobs that should be available for our 'best and brightest'......what's happened since then?

Winner winner chicken dinner
What a crock of shit. Did you know most private school teachers wished they were teaching in a good public school. Job security, higher pay, etc. But those dopey teachers can't get hired in a public school.

And a lot of private school teachers are former public school teachers who have 30 year pensions coming from the public school if they retire. So they re retire, get a pension, and teach private school for the $45K they pay private school teachers.

What products does your company make? Do you put them in the back seat if your company won't pay you a fair wage?

According to achievement scores, the early to mid-2010s was the "Golden Era" of American education.

Really?

1950s to 1970s
Some say this period was a "golden age" for American education. During this time, high school graduation rates increased, college attendance increased, and dropout rates decreased. The federal government also spent money on veterans' education, building the interstate highway system, and making home mortgages affordable.

Some say this was the "Golden Era" of American education because student achievement and college attainment were at their highest. However, scores have been trending down since then, even before the pandemic.

you are violating the rules of the board. I follow rules.

House Report No. 784, dated June 22, 1874, stated, “The United States have not recognized a double allegiance. By our law a citizen is bound to be ‘true and faithful’ alone to our government.” There is no way in the world anyone can claim “subject to the jurisdiction thereof” affirms the feudal common law doctrine of birth citizenship to aliens because such doctrine by operation creates a “double allegiance” between separate nations.

.
Perhaps because he was absolutely correct.

* The phrase “transient aliens” was generally used to refer to aliens other than “domiciled aliens” who had taken their oath of allegiance and other requirements who were citizens or subjects of another country who could be in the country for any number of reasons, such as a stopover on an international trip, school, work, etc., who had no intent of becoming citizens or were unable to by law or treaty.
Do tell how a fetus can take an oath before being born.

This one's easy. Republicans (Reagan) stopped investing in Americans. Stopped making college affordable.

The federal budget for post secondary education increased significantly in the 1970s, and federal student loans became commonplace.

States provided nearly 80% of funding for higher education in the 1980s, but that number has dropped to below 50% today.

Private loans replaced federal grants as the main source of money for college students in the 1970s.

  • The average cost of college tuition in the U.S. has more than tripled over the last 58 years.

    • Tuition at 4-year public universities increased more than 75% every decade from the 1970s through the 2000s.
    • Between 2000 and 2021, average tuition and fees jumped by 65%.
    • In just the 11 years between 2010 and 2021, tuition and fees rose by 17%.

I love telling this story but I'll try to make it short. My dad moved here from Greece. At Ford the White Trash would say "go back to your own country. You're stealing our jobs". Of course he worked the grave yard shift that they wouldn't work, he took their overtime they didn't want and he worked harder than them.

Fast forward to his son, my brother. He goes to college and becomes a VP of HR at several fortune 500 companies. Now why didn't all those white trash boys we played baseball with become vice presidents? Because they didn't want to go to college. Their fathers encouraged them that going to college was stupid. Come work at Ford or be a plumber. You'll never be rich but you'll never be broke.

Republicans need to start being pro education. They are anti education right now. Same as in the 2000's when you and Bush were sending all our best blue collar jobs overseas.

That is a bipartisan created issue.

Higher education is almost entirely dominated by left leaning liberals.............BTW.

ahhhhh he did use the internet. Picked the one that agreed with him. How sweet.

I spoke with my trump loving brother. He convinced me you are right. Department of Education sucks, has failed us, and needs to be abolished. A waste of money. Let education go back to the states.

Or if Linda doesn’t abolish it, fix it.

M brother reminded me of this high school girl we hung out with on New Year’s Eve. She goes to a very good public school. Gets grea grades. But we were playing 21 and she couldn’t even d the math.

Meanwhile foreigners come here and they are way ahead of us on computer sciences, math, programming, science

Even my nephew who’s taking AP classes in s probably dumber than me he average European Indian or Asian.

I wonder if Canada is dumber than us?

This attack on public schools reminds me of when republicans attacked unions in the 2000 as 1 million good paying blue collar jobs went to Mexico and China.

I’m certain trumps going to take on unions the next four years. Probably soon. THe shoreman strike is set t resume this month. Should be interesting.

Wake up you clown.............Nixon's legacy was opening up China for world trade.....Clintstone gave China free trade status. Everyone in congress tripped over themselves kissing China's ass over investments.....screw the unions.

Thank you for supporting my claims of a failed US education system.

Sent via bipartisan lobbying.
Birth right citizenship is the child.
Not according to the COTUS.
Why should Mexico accept the baby as their citizen? It was born in America. It would have to apply for Mexican citizenship.
Birthright citizen ship is a lie.,

I’m with you guys on this one. End the department of education.

State lotteries and parents can pay for school. And if Kentucky’s education system sucks people will move. We can then compare states on how they are doing and how they are doing it

Added money didn’t help

Man Berg. It appears the level of your TDS has turned what's left of your brain into mashed potatoes. Read your first sentence, for instance, if you're able. You're unhinged.
OK, I just read it. What's your problem with it?
