When trump's retribution tour begins, could someone tell me if....

'Splain why Biden and everyone in his administration was out explaining the inflation they created.....just transitional.

"HAVE YOU SEEN THE ECONOMY?"
Why is the economy good?

the grand jurors Trump supporters don't like talking about should be worried? They were an essential cog in our system of justice that came to conclusions at odds with Trump's hollow pleas of innocence. Making it necessary to demonize them. Will they be on Bondi's list to pay a price for performing their civic duty?

Mod Edit to comply with clean start rules given thread is to far along to close.
Man Berg. It appears the level of your TDS has turned what's left of your brain into mashed potatoes. Read your first sentence, for instance, if you're able. You're unhinged.

Bidenomics.....ask Kamala, that's how she won.
You fools did this before. Remember you elected Bush instead of Gore? That's why we're where we are. Not freddy mack or fanny may or Pelosi or Biden. Americans are dumb. You'll see.

I said this back during the Bush years. It's now every man woman and child for themselves. I'll thrive. Or survive.

Calls grow for South Korea’s president to resign after martial law chaos

There is growing pressure on South Korean President Yoon Suk Yeol to step down after his aborted attempt to declare martial law, which plunged the country into political uncertainty and sparked a fierce backlash.

• On Wednesday morning, the opposition Democratic Party said it would begin impeachment proceedings against Yoon if he doesn’t step down immediately. His chief of staff and other top officials submitted their resignations while the country’s largest union confederation said members would strike until Yoon quits.

• The president had declared martial law in a surprise late-night address on Tuesday, citing a motion by the Democratic Party, which has a majority in parliament, to impeach top prosecutors and reject a government budget proposal.

https://www.cnn.com/world/live-news/martial-law-south-korea-intl/index.html

S. Korean citizens rushed to the Capital building in order to facilitate a vote by the national assembly to end martial law after President Yeol, a right winger, forbid the assembly to meet. His martial law decree having demanded all political activity and unauthorized press coverage immediately cease.

Instead of storming the Capital as trump's mob did in an effort to end the constitutional order of a peaceful transition of power, S. Koreans acted to protect their democracy.

In Brazil, Bolsanaro has been indicted for his attempted coup.
Brazilian police formally accuse former President Bolsonaro and aides of alleged 2022 coup attempt

It seems we could learn a thing or two about how to treat those who threaten our republic.

What happened in S. Korea was a shock to the system. The citizenry there reacted just as one would hope to a sudden threat to the democratic order. They took to the streets demanding martial law be rescinded.

My concern about what is happening here is it's more gradual but no less threatening in the long run. Outrages are becoming normalized. The nominations of Gaetz, Patel, Hegseth, RFK, Gabbard, Bondi, etc., are an affront to the tradition of prez's trying to fill cabinet posts with ideologically aligned, competent nominees motivated by a desire to work in the national interest. Not to be the prez's sock puppets.

Specious comparisons to trump's prosecutions notwithstanding, we stand on the precipice of an incoming admin promising to use every tool at its disposal to unconstitutionally target political opponents and critical media outlets. A softer version of the martial law declared in S. Korea but with the same goal. Marginalize dissent. When does it get to the point when we take to the streets?

The S. Korean Government went against the President. These MAGA Republicans will not stand up to Trump. They'll ask him in private to back down on something but they'll NEVER go against his decisions these next 4 years.

Team Trump has to be able to convince a jury of 12. They won't get any convictions but they'll ruin a lot of people going after theme.

Why don't you step back and take a deep breath.......
Is this how it's going to be for the next 8 years?

What does this have to do with this thread?

You guys are funny about Hunter. I heard a right wing con say "this is setting a bad precedent where people aren't held accountable for their crimes, etc. Basically he was describing Trump to a tee. Trump already set that.

I can't find the video of the guy saying what he said but I did find this.

“The pardon means Hunter Biden won’t be sentenced for his crimes, and it eliminates any chance that he’ll be sent to prison, which was a possibility. The judges overseeing his cases will likely cancel the sentencing hearings, which were slated for December 12 in the gun case and December 16 in the tax case.”

Could easily be talking about Trump

“The election means TRUMP won’t be sentenced for his crimes, and it eliminates any chance that he’ll be sent to prison, which was a possibility. The judges overseeing his cases will likely cancel the sentencing hearings, in the STORMY CASE and the other 2 felony crimes Trump was being charged with.

I no longer look down on Germans for voting for Hitler. We did it. His cabinet picks are insane. You'll see. It just might not be jews who go to the ovens. Just all liberals. Wouldn't it be great? See, you're a nazi.

Have you considered seeking professional help?

Poor bobo clown. 🤡

How did you get through previous elections without committing yourself to a mental institution?

:th_booboo:
The Bush years were the toughest. His dad sucked too. I was just graduating college when he ran against Clinton. Then his son was the fucking worse. I didn't save much during the Bush years but at least paid off my condo. Lean years. For every job 20 people were looking for a job. I think Bush/Romney sent 1 million good paying jobs overseas. Remember Bain Capitol? The corporations are now in full control of your government.

How will I get through this? I'm older now. More a part of the investor class. i only have to make it to 62 to start collecting whatever crumbs Trump allows me. Then pay for private insurance as a 63 year old till I'm 65 and get medicare if it exists.

I'm 54 and I don't fall into the median or average. How about you?

This is starting to feel like 2000 when people said "how bad could Bush fuck up this rocking economy?" We found out in 2008.

50-somethings

  • Average net worth: $1,132,532 (ages 50-54), $1,442,075 (ages 55-59)
  • Median net worth: $272,800 (ages 50-54), $320,700 (ages 55-59)

As someone pointed out in an earlier post, President Yeol got zero support from members of his party when the assembly voted to end martial law yesterday. In contrast, 140 congressional Repubs supported Baby Donald's effort to overthrow the government.

2007-2008 was engineered to install a dem.

Look at the bright side, if someone doesn't get our spending to debt in line, financial collapse is over the horizon and all our savings will be wiped out.
